Robin and Bryan

03.28.10  |  Weddings

Robin and Bryan's wedding day was filled with laughter, excitement and lots and LOTS of rain. We made the best of it and I am so happy with how the images came out.

Some of Miss Sonia's lipstick love for the bride and groom...

Robin tasted some of the leftover Garrett's Popcorn from the wedding favor bags while Stephanie finished her hair.

Her AWESOME shoes...

Label queen, anyone? Ha!

I love this shot of her best friend bustling the dress while it was hanging in the window...

Um, beautiful... The hair and the lashes were doing everything right!!! =)

I love this one...

Bryan was waiting for the bride to arrive and could not get away from all of the St. Patty Day drunks! =)

They were everywhere!!!

I am sure Christine had some fun while she was waiting for Robin and I to arrive.

They met each other a year ago to the day at English. I loved that they were up for meeting here for the first time on the day they said 'I Do'. =)

We start our city adventure...

I just can't quit this bridge. I try, but it always gets me. =)

The rain tried to stop us, but we kept trekkin'!

I love Union Station!

I really love these next two...

We literally RAN into the MCA. =)

Colors!!!!!

Fun with light sabers. =)

Again, I can't quit this sign either. Deal with it people. When I like something, I over-indulge!

I am seriously in love with this shot from A New Leaf.

Isn't this a bit scary!?

It was great getting to work with Anthony from Liven It Up Events. Hope to get to work with him again soon! The details that he helped Robin with were great.

Lil' Robin and Lil' Bryan. =)

Artsy Fartsy.

A heat lamp...

And Bryan's dad found it fast!

A quick shot before the ketubah signing...

And, there we go!

It's a done deal...

Robin heads down the aisle...

And Bryan smiles!

Bryan's parents...

They had a great chuppah! Love the birch!

She totally caught me falling in love with the birch...

Their ceremony was short but beautiful...

They did it!

They had a little private time after the ceremony. Looking at this photo, I am not sure how private it actually was! =)

They joined the guests upstairs and they all wanted to check out the rock! =)

Mmmm... Chocolate dipped somethings!

She loved them!

The speeches...

Bryan thanked everyone for coming before they danced together...

She was enjoying the dance!!

I had to grab a few more detail shots before I headed out...

Robin and Bryan... Hope you get to enjoy many green drinks in the years to come!!!! =)

Ginger, Alex And The Bump

03.25.10  |  Kids!

Ginger and Alex were married almost two years ago. And now, it's baby time. It's really fun getting calls from past clients to photograph their changing lives. This was definitely no exception!

Alex got the tape measure out to show how close they are to the delivery date. Ginger actually had the baby last week! They were really close when we did the shoot.

Alex giving Ginger some love!

I love these next two!

Ginger noticed Ashley and Brian's baby bump shoot and she wanted to recreate this one. I love using the sonogram photo!

She couldn't fit in her old jeans and so we left them unbuttoned!

We pretty much rearranged their bedroom to play around with the cool window light!

Love this one...

When I walked in their VERY cool condo, I noticed a huge print from their wedding on the wall. It was awesome to see one of my wedding images printed so large!

Love the baby bib!!!!

By the way, it was a baby boy! Congrats to you both.

Chad and Michelle

03.24.10  |  Just For Fun

A friend of mine and Chicago wedding photographer, Chad Husar, asked me to photograph him and his fiance Michelle's save the date cards. I was immediately intrigued by this shoot when he said he was going to jump in Lake Michigan in March. Score one for the crazies. =)

Enjoy!

It required more than one hand to help him out!

I loved it. So much fun!! Thanks for asking me to do this.

This is the actual save the date card that they sent out...

Best wishes on your wedding day!

Izzy Part Two

03.23.10  |  Kids!

It was Izzy time again. You are going to be seeing lots of Izzy on my blog in the next 10 months. Kim and Danny have asked me to document her first year of life. I am in love with this idea. I can't wait to do a final 'best of' post when its all over!

I think their cat was a tad jealous so she jumped in for a quick shot!

Izzy getting an energy boost before our big shoot...

And a quick burp!

Her eyes are gorgeous!

A little sneeze action...

I was loving the light in the bedroom!

Happy Izzy!

I think all babies are happy in their birthday suits!

The modest baby shot!

See you next month!

Dan and Elizabeth

03.09.10  |  Weddings

Ok, not really. It was actually a beautiful wedding downtown at the Sofitel.

This sign was outside of the reception door. Of course, I had to include it. This should be HERE.

Elizabeth was getting all fancy when I arrived!

And Dan was doing some MAJOR posing in his suite!! =)

A little promo shot for the talented Miss Sonia.

My second photographer. It's ok, I let her leave before the child labor laws kick in.

Actually, she was just a flower girl trying to step on my turf! =)

And the other flower girl was NOT impressed with me.

She was not a fan of my picture taking so she did the following... A. Cried. B. Yelled at me C. Drew a photo of me. D. All of the above.

The answer - D. All of the above. Hey, at least she made me look thin. I loved her for that!

"Elizabeth LOVES crabs"... I swear that this is what her mother told me when I was shooting this very cool necklace that Dan gave her that day.

Elizabeth getting some help with the dress.

Dan awaiting her arrival!

I loved where we decided to have their first meeting!

LOOK AT THE WINDOW ACROSS THE STREET! That is SO a ninja. That ninja TOTALLY photo-bombed my picture.

Elizabeth asked me to take a shot with the skyline. I was lazy so we shot it inside. =)

The park across the street made for some fun and COLD photos...

You have to love the buildings in Chicago!

And the alleys!

The bride.

And the groom.

I love sneaking around the Fourth Presbyterian church before the wedding ladies come out and kick me.

One of Dan's favorite places! =)

I loved this light...

Some of their friends got to see them before the ceremony!

We went back to the hotel to grab the wedding party for more photos...

And I braved the wedding ladies at Fourth Presbyterian again... They never caught me! Next time ladies. Next time.

Yes, middle of the road shot. Who cares. We can't always be original. =)

Some pre-reception song and dance...

I got a little help with framing the image during family pictures...

He was over the family pictures. A quick nap before the ceremony never hurt anyone!

Elizabeth ran back to the room to freshen up before the big 'I Do'.

The guests arrive...

Her mother helped her into her veil...

And we were off! Grandma is ready for the show!

Dan...

Elizabeth and her parents...

Elizabeth's brother...

And the bustle goes up for the cocktails...

I love this one! What a cool venue...

Didn't take long for the drinks to come out!! =)

And this guy had plenty of them. Forget the double fist. This guy is going for a triple!

MMMMM.... Cupcakes!

Everyone heads for their seats...

Elizabeth's father watches the first dance...

Some speeches...

That's actually not a teary face. She is about to burst out with laughter!

Her sister...

The band...

Some dancing...

And the rings!

Thanks for a fun night!!!!
